Experience Cooking Masterclass with VU Polytechnic's Head Chef Danette Haas, GRAIN Saigon Cooking Studio, Thứ hai, 11. Tháng mười một 2019

Victoria University Polytechnic is pleased to host the Cooking Masterclass in Vietnam with a culinary performance by the Head Chef Danette Haas. Danette Haas first stepped into the world of hospitality at the early age of 16, working as an apprentice for a renowned fine dining seafood restaurant located in the north of Tasmania. Upon completion of her apprenticeship, Danette travelled across Australia, from the north of Darwin to the southern end of Victoria, working as a culinary chef across an array of Hotels, and Restaurants. Her strengths in this area is highlighted when she was chosen as a finalist for the Tasmanian Vocational Training Awards in 2013. Danette continued to pursue her passion for both hospitality and education, exercising her culinary expertise at educational institutes. Danette endeavors to continue educating students on the use of seasonal produce, achieving minimal waste and sustainability and the excitement in creating outstanding flavors with fresh ingredients.
 At the Cooking Masterclass in Vietnam, Chef Danette will demonstrate her culinary techniques and bring to the audience 2 wonderful dishes including “Pan Fried Salmon with beetroot, orange & pickled radish, smoked labneh & local micro herbs” and “Baked Orange Souffle with praline, mint and local fruits”. All attendees will have a chance to experience how to cook those mentioned dishes under the Chef’s instruction. The Chef’s performance and the cooking class will be followed by the Chef’s story sharing about her journey in the world of hospitality and briefing sessions about Hotel Management and Hospitality Management courses.
